The Quest to Find My Belly Button

Ok, so we don't celebrate Boxing Day here in the US, but I think that we should. It has an interesting ring to it. :) Personally, I would like to have the ability to box anyone I would like today. Actually, I would have rather had that ability when I worked in clothing retail... where December 26th is the day of Unholy Returns. :)
At any rate, I only have 6 more days until my journey to healthy begins. Yikes. Considering that today I made and eggnog latte and had cake for breakfast. Sigh. I really think sometimes I am out to sabotage myself. That attitude will have to go.
I got my gym membership for Christmas! Yea! Plus, I got i tunes gift cards and a new i pod nano! It is orange! (my favorite color) (Don't worry Ryan, the Touch is still gonna get plenty of use!) But, this guy is smaller and I got the little arm band thingy so I can wear it at the gym! So, I am going to be all set... once I figure out how to load music to my new toy. I swear, I am the most technologically challenged member of my family. Besides my Mom. :)
I have decided that this quest will be sub-titled : The Quest to Find My Belly Button. Really. Anyone who is overweight like me will understand this. All the people in the fitness mags flaunt theirs... sometimes they adorn them with jewlery. I just want to be able to confirm that I actually have one still. They don't evaporate after a while if they are hidden for too long do they??? That would be terrible. ha.
I have to decide if I am going to post my before picture. I think it may be the only way to motivate me. That way I can post pics as I progress. What do you guys do for motivation?
That will be it for now. More to come in the next couple of days as I ramp up to begin the Quest!

  2. Hey Buddy...was trying to change my name, but it deleted my whole comment instead. The Ms.Miragliotta is from my Otterbein blog days...boring. Anyway, I think what you are doing is great. As for motivation...not sure if money is a motivator, but think of how much you will be saving by not buying Starbucks! :-)
